ΗΠΑ: Η πραγματική Ντρου Μπάριμορ που έπαθε αμνησία και ξέχασε τα πάντα

Την ιστορία της που κάνει το γύρο του κόσμου το περιοδικό People την έκανε βίντεο όπου περιγράφει πως ξέχασε τον σύντροφό της, για τον οποίο νόμιζε ότι ήταν οδηγός Uber και την ίδια της την κόρη.

Όλα ξεκίνησαν όταν η 321χρονη Πιλάι υπέστη τραύματα στο κεφάλι σε ηλικία εννέα ετών στη Νότια Αφρική όταν λίγα πράγματα ήταν γνωστά για αυτές τις περιπτώσεις.

Από τότε κάθε χτύπημα στο κεφάλι ήταν αρκετό να της φέρει σύγχυση.

Ωστόσο η κατάσταση επιδεινώθηκε όταν τον Οκτώβριο του 2022 μετά από χτύπημα ξέχασε τα πάντα και πίστεψε ότι ήταν 17 χρονών.

Μία από τις στιγμές που ακόμα και τώρα την πονά ήταν όταν αναφέρθηκε στην κόρη της ως αυτό το παιδί.

Η ίδια δεν κρύβει τη χαρά της που μπόρεσε να ερωτευθεί τον ίδιο άνθρωπο δύο φορές.

A mother-of-one who forgot she had a family after suffering a brain injury has been dubbed as the 'real-life 50 First Dates.'

Former journalist Nesh Pillay, 32, sustained head trauma in a car accident in South Africa at the age of nine.

But, as a result, she was plagued with other concussions throughout her life, with symptoms getting worse each time.

Nesh first suffered damage as a child at a time when 'not a lot was known about traumatic brain injuries.'

She said that as time went on it took less and less of a bump to the head to cause her to become concussed, with the resulting symptoms getting worse each time.

And in October 2022, her health reached an all-time low.

Explaining the incident, she told Newsweek: 'I told my family that I had bumped my head, but I don't remember.'

Feeling unwell, she went to take a nap but when she woke up she was 'very confused' and 'didn't know what was going on.'

'Then over the course of a couple of hours, I lost my memory. By that evening I didn't know who my partner was, I didn't know much about my daughter. That's so difficult,' she told the outlet.

Nesh said that she was in a constant state of panic and it was 'tough' not being able to recognize those around her.
